Day 1 – Arrival in Nabire & Transfer to Sowa
Arrive in Nabire and meet our team. Transfer to Sowa village and settle into your beachfront bungalow overlooking Cenderawasih Bay. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon, sunset views and a traditional Papuan dinner.
Day 2 – Whale Shark Encounter & Transfer to Roon Island
Early morning departure to the local bagan fishing platforms to swim with the famous whale sharks of Cenderawasih Bay. After the encounter, continue by boat to Roon Island and check into your beachfront bungalow. Free time for snorkeling and exploring the surrounding reefs.
Days 3–6 – Roon Island & Hidden Islands Exploration
Four unforgettable days exploring the remote islands of Cenderawasih Bay.

Day 1 – Arrival in Nabire
Meet our team upon arrival in Nabire. Transfer to Sowa village and settle into your beachfront bungalow overlooking Cenderawasih Bay.
Day 2 – Whale Shark Encounter
Early morning excursion to swim with the whale sharks of Cenderawasih Bay. Photography, snorkeling and unforgettable wildlife encounters. Overnight in Sowa.
Day 3 – Transfer to Roon Island
Boat transfer to Roon Island. Check into your beachfront bungalow and enjoy the island atmosphere.
Days 4–6 – Roon Island Exploration
Three days dedicated to:

Exploring remote islands and sandbanks
Bird watching
Meeting the Sawangi people
Traditional ceremonies and cultural exchanges
Relaxing on untouched beaches
Fresh seafood and island life
Day 7 – Transfer to Wasior
Boat journey across Cenderawasih Bay to Wasior. Overnight in town and preparation for the inland expedition.
Day 8 – Journey to the Torrowar Territory
Travel deep into the rainforest and foothills of the Arfak region. Arrival in a traditional Torrowar village. Welcome ceremony and overnight with local hosts.
Day 9 – Torrowar Tribal Immersion
Full day with the Torrowar people:
Traditional hunting techniques
Forest walks
Village life
Cultural exchanges
Traditional Papuan cuisine
Overnight in the village.
Day 10 – Wildlife & Rainforest Exploration
Birds of Paradise, rainforest wildlife, waterfalls and jungle exploration with local guides. Final evening with the Torrowar community.
Day 11 – Return to Wasior & Departure
Return to Wasior Airport for flights to Manokwari and onward connections to Jakarta.

Combine two completely different fishing worlds in one unforgettable expedition.
Begin with four days exploring the remote reefs and islands of Cenderawasih Bay around Roon Island, targeting Giant Trevally, Spanish Mackerel, Coral Trout and other powerful tropical species.
Then venture inland to the rivers flowing from the Wondiboy Mountains, where crystal-clear jungle waterways hold populations of Spotted Bass in one of the most beautiful freshwater environments in Papua.
This unique expedition combines saltwater and freshwater fishing, spectacular scenery, comfortable accommodation and authentic Papuan hospitality, creating one of the most diverse fishing adventures available anywhere in Indonesia.
